ALVAR AALTO FOR ARTEK C.1970S
The Paimio “Chair 41” was originally designed by Alvar Aalto for the Paimio Sanatorium in Southwest Finland in order to help the Tuberculosis patients breathe more easily while sitting. Artek began production of this design in 1931 and still produces the chair to this day. This example was produced by Artek c.1970s.
