GAETANO PESCE FOR BOTTEGA VENETA 2022
In September of 2022, 82 year old Gaetano Pesce created 400 resin-dipped canvas chairs for Bottega Veneta’s S/S 23 show. Teaming up with creative director Matthieu Blazy the goal was simple - to create a collection which felt like the whole world in a small room. Each chair is unique and originally sat on top of a hand-poured resin floor.
“This space is a tribute to diversity. It is about the human being; we are all different. We are all different and this is our defining quality – otherwise, we are just a copy. We are all originals, and this is one of the themes of my design.” (Gaetano Pesce)
