GAETANO PESCE FOR THE OPEN SKY COLLECTION c.1995


Designed in c.1995, the “Crosby Chair” was named by Gaetano Pesce after the location of his studio, which at the time sat on Crosby Street in NYC. The seats feature the profile of a face, a smiling face can also be seen in the backrests, and unique colors mark each example. This set of three children’s chairs sit much smaller in stature than their adult counterparts. Accordsing to the Victoria & Albvert Museum, apporximately 4o examples of both children and adult examples were made in total.
