The l’Oeil lamp, or the eye lamp, was originally designed by Nicola L. in 1969. This example is No. 5/24 from an edition in 1999. Known for her art furniture, performances, paintings, and films - Nicola L. grafted many different narratives and mediums through the common theme of the body. Anthropomorphic pieces such as this lamp present the body as a visceral aesthetic and a poetic form.
